Advocacy

At CAPC, Inc., we believe in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) by advocating for their rights, inclusion, and access to essential services. Our advocacy efforts focus on creating sustainable change through education, community engagement, and policy reform.

CAPC Believes

  • All people have talents and capabilities.
  • All people continue to learn and grow through their lifetime.
  • All people can work and contribute to their community as valued members.
  • All people should be respected and listened to.
  • All people should be given the opportunity to make decisions and be as independent as possible.

CAPC’s Statement on Diversity in the workplace

At CAPC, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential to fulfilling our mission of empowering people with disabilities to live and work in their home communities. We are committed to fostering a culture where every individual—regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, color, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, age, medical condition, genetic information, or disability—is valued, respected, and supported.

We strive to create an environment where differences are celebrated, equitable opportunities are provided, and all voices are heard. Our commitment to DEI extends beyond compliance with legal requirements; it is a fundamental part of how we operate, engage with our community, and serve individuals with disabilities.

Through continuous learning, advocacy, and intentional action, we aim to build a workplace and community that champions inclusion, promotes accessibility, and ensures that all individuals—especially those we serve—have the resources and support they need to thrive.
